Nuclear power plant ---a political game

When the Nuclear Deal was about to be signed, the stand of Shiromani Akali Dal was against the deal. SAD gave two main reasons, why they opposed the deal. Firstly, India is rich the natural resources to produce electricity. The main resource is water. If India uses its water resources wisely, it can produce lakhs of Megawatts of electricity. Secondly, Punjab is near to the border of Pakistan. If the tension increases on border, these nuclear power plants can be one of the targets which can cause much of death and destruction.
But the point is here, what are now the political barriers that SAD is demanding a nuclear power plant for the state. Is the security of state a secondary issue or the natural resources have been destroyed? No, not at all. It is just the vote power that has changed the decision of SAD.
When would our politicians come out of these political games and think wisely for the betterment of the country. Now the condition is that the political leaders are doing the political stunts, just to impress the voters. It is the biggest disadvantage of DEMOCRACY. Today every politician is working for getting votes and nothing else. The only thing that is always remembered by these politicians is the votes and their image. If the politicians focus more on the development of the country than other things, India can progress a lot.
It is rightly said, “There is no need to show off, if your work speaks.” This is a sort of advice to the politicians that if your work is appreciable and you work for the development of the country, then you do not have any need to go to the people and ask for their votes.(they themselves will vote in your favor)
Many politicians are there in the Indian politics who do not have any ideology. They are only in politics to get power and enjoy luxuries life. They have nothing to do with the problems of INDIA and INDIANS. They are just making the mockery of the political system of India
A small advice to such politicians, “Please don’t make the mockery of DEMOCRACY.”
This does not mean that we do not have any good leader in Indian Politics. There are good leaders but very few in numbers.
