Mindset can't be changed, Crime can only be curved by harsh punishment

Mindset can't be changed, Crime can only be curved by harsh punishment

Moral values are cultivated right from the birth in the human beings. It is very difficult to cultivate them when a human being has grown as an adult. A criminal cannot cultivate moral values and he is a threat to the society where he lives in. The mindset of such people cannot be changed but they can be pressurized not to commit any crime by awarding harsh punishments. Fear of harsh punishment and fast conviction of the serious crime is only the way out to curve the crime in the country.

Lets discuss the crime against women in the past few months. Jyoti murder case in Panchkulla, ASI murder who came for the rescue of his daughter from the eve-teasers in Amritsar, Delhi rape case, Patiala rape case, Gurdasspur rape case and many more such crimes have come into lime light in the past few months. A daughter was killed in a village of Hoshiarpur by the parents for false pride of caste because she wanted to marry a boy of SC community. It shows the mindset of the people and their fearlessness from the judiciary system.

People don't fear the judiciary because they know that they can easily cheat the judicial system and get escaped from the criminal cases against them.

The remedy for such crimes is to change the mindset of the people. But its very difficult or we can even say that it is impossible to change the mindset of the people.

The only way out is to award harsh punishments to the criminals with the least time of trials in the court. There should be no leniency towards the criminals. People with criminal mindset should be behind the bars. They have no right to move freely. They can only harm the society.

Fast convictions and harsh punishments by the court will create fear in the minds of the people and the people cannot even think of committing any crime. The best example of this is Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia provide harsh punishments to the criminals and hence the crime ratio is very less over there.

India must think about this.... Readers comments are welcome.
